If you are considering installing wood fences in your yard, the cost is probably at the forefront of your mind. This video will explain what factors are used to determine the cost of a wood fence installation so that you can have a rough idea of your budget.
It’s important to know that different fencing companies will charge different rates for their services. They have different overhead, payroll, and tax responsibilities to consider. The location of the service will also change prices, with higher-income towns likely having higher-priced fencing services.
For the company in the video, the typical cost for a wood fence installation is $4000. This money goes towards materials, labor, overhead, the profit the company is making, and taxes. That’s a lot to consider!
The materials eat up most of the money. In fact, it takes up almost half of where the money goes at 43%. Next is labor. Good contractors pay their employees well because the employees are knowledgeable, skilled, and hard workers. This takes up another 30% of that $4000, or $1200.
Overhead and profit are the next slices of the pie, eating up 10% of that $4000. That’s right: the fencing company only makes 10%, or $400, off of an average wooden fence installation.
