The first maintenance that we are going to talk about is changing the air filter. Air filters are used clean the air before it makes its way into the home. After a few months, the air filter starts to get dirty with dust and other debris. When this happens, it will need to be replaced. Replacing it is easy, however, you will need to make sure that you use the same exact filter as the one you are replacing.

Other maintenance that you should do revolves around cleaning out the control panel. In every furnace, you can find a control panel that holds all of the wires. Dust can build up here over time and will need to be cleaned to function properly. This will also give you the opportunity to make sure all of the wires are in tack.
